    We send a text message to incoming guests before check-in where you can pay an additional fee for an early check-in (if available).

    We send text during the stay before check out where you can have a late check out for an additional fee ( if available).

  • A: A minimum of 48 hours written notice prior to the date of check-in is required for all booking cancellations or alterations.

    When less than 48 hours notice is provided prior to the date of check-in, a cancellation fee equal to the full booking amount is applied. Merchant fees are non-refundable.

  • Very much so. We are a family-friendly business with kids menus, family room-types and magical grounds for little ones to explore.

  • A: We're a pet-free hotel to preserve comfort and heritage. However service animals are welcome by prior arrangement.

  • A: Yes! Free onsite self-parking is offered. Our recommendation is to drive through our porte-cochere to drop off your luggage and then find a park.

    Valet service isn't currently available.

  • A: The Robertson Hotel and Robertson is the gateway to the Southern Highlands when coming from the South Coast from areas such as Albion Park, Shellharbour, Wollongong, Kiama, Jamberoo, Gerringong, Kangaroo Valley, Nowra or Berry

  • The closest train station is Moss Vale where you can get direct trains to and from Sydney and Canberra.

    From Moss Vale station we are a 15 minute Uber or Taxi.

  • A: Yes, we have complimentary wifi in our rooms and common areas.

    You will receive our wifi password on arrival when you scan the QR in your room key holder. There are also QR codes throughout the hotel and in your room to connect to the Wi-Fi.

  • A: Breakfast is served between 7.30am - 9.30am( last sitting).

  • We have an outdoor swimming pool and landscaped gardens. There's no gym on-site, but nearby walking trails and parks are great alternatives.

  • A: No, the hotel is strictly non-smoking (including e-cigarettes).

    However, you are welcome to smoke outside. Please do not throw the butts on the grass or concrete, as our animals on-site could ingest them.

    Please dispose of your rubbish appropriately in the bins provided.

    A fine may apply for violations.

    Breakfast is free and included in your room rate for bookings as a special when accommodation is booked directly with the hotel. On the condition that it is pre-booked 24 hours before your accommodation arrival via the online pre-check-in link that is sent to the incoming guest’s mobile number.

    If breakfast is not pre-booked before arrival, and you wish to have breakfast with us, a charge of $25 per person is applicable, if available.

    Breakfast seating is in our Sunroom, which is a bright and sunny room ideal for breakfast.

    Breakfast is either self-service from the buffet room or an à la carte table service breakfast.

  • We do not generally offer room service because we have beautiful dining room options for you to enjoy. However, if you have a special need just let us know.

  • A: To book a table for dining, go to the QR code/link that is sent to the incoming guest’s mobile number, where you can make a restaurant reservation.

    As we use the best fresh and local produce, we generally order it specifically for our dining guests.

    Therefore, we would really appreciate it if you booked your dining experience with us at the same time or shortly after your accommodation booking to reserve your table.

    Whilst we may be able to accomodate last minute dining bookings, we can not guarantee a reservation.

    Two of our dining rooms have beautiful open wood fireplaces, which are usually fired up for the cosy southern highlands experience.

    Depending on the number of diners that night, we have two stunning dining room options - our green longue room and our white dining room.

    The Robertson Restaurant

    There, you will also see a link that says “Book a table” which takes you to make a reservation.

  • A: We have a special offer for our in-house/ external dining guests of a Happy Hour at our bar, which commences 1 hour before your dining reservation.

  • A: We get questions about this because we are an old grand manor - however rest-assure we most definitely do not have any ghosts in or around the building.

  • A: We have our heritage train platform stop at The Robertson Hotel. It connects directly to the hotel , so guests can get off at The Robertson Hotel platform and take a short walk up through the rainforest path to the hotel. 

    Steam train experiences to Robertson are primarily operated by The Picnic Train which runs special heritage steam tours from Sydney’s Central Station. Another operator is the East Coast Heritage Rail (The Cockatoo Run) which runs from Sydney’s Central Station or Wollongong to Robertson and Moss Vale using both vintage diesel and sometimes steam.

    These are great ways to get to the hotel if you do not want to drive or ideal for a stop-over, high tea, lunch before the journey home. The trains are also available by private charter for corporate retreats whereby a company could bring all the executives via train.

    We can host for weddings, corporate retreats, private celebrations - children high tea parties, milestone birthday parties, engagement parties, divorce parties or just a celebration for any occasion.

From magical fairy high teas and elegant garden parties to fun-filled birthday celebrations on our grand front lawn - perfect for a petting zoo - we can tailor each event to suit your vision.

    Our spacious grounds and beautiful event spaces allow us to create memorable, stress-free children’s parties that feel both enchanting and effortlessly organised.
